Biographical Information[edit]
Daniel de Haan was on the Dutch national team that won the 1993 European Championship; as Johnny Balentina and Marlon Fluonia did the catching, he only got one plate appearance. Batting for Edsel Martis in their win over Spain, he struck out against Juan Damborenea. [1] He backed up Balentina in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup; in 3 plate appearances, he had no at-bats as he walked twice and was plunked. He scored one run. In the field, he had 3 putouts, an error and allowed one steal in one try. [2] He played for the Hoofddorp Pioniers. [3]
