Biographical Information[edit]
Dan Ramsay was the All-Northwest Conference catcher at Whitworth College. In 2009, he became head coach of his alma mater. He inherited a struggling program and went 10-26 in 2009 but built to 20 wins in 2011. After a 30-14-1 season in 2012, the school made the 2012 Division III College World Series and won a game in the Division III World Series for the first time. He was named NWC Coach of the Year. He won Coach of the Year again in 2016 and returned to the NCAA Tournament in 2015 and 2016. After going 183-181 across nine seasons, he transitioned into the professional managerial ranks.
For 2018, he was named manager of the GCL Twins.
Following the 2018 season, he accepted a position as the Northwest area scout for the Arizona Diamondbacks drafting notable players such as Corbin Carroll and Ryne Nelson.
