Biographical Information

Daiki Mochizuki suffered from IgA nephropathy and missed most of his college season. He was still drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 5th round of the 2019 NPB draft, and he pitched 2 shutout innings in 2020. Mochizuki's ERA was 2.25 in 2 games in 2021, but he recorded a 7.00 ERA in 9 appearances in 2022 and he announced his retirement.
