Biographical Information

Daichi Shibata has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Shibata was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 3rd round of the 2021 NPB draft; the scout was Chikashi Nakanishi. He pitched 29 games with a 4.70 ERA in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2022, but he only got one appearance with the big club. He then stayed in the minors for the entire 2023 season, and he went 2-1 with a 2.17 ERA there in 2024; Shibata also pitched one game for the big club in '24 season. The Rakuten Golden Eagles picked him in the 2024 NPB Active draft.
