Biographical Information[edit]
Daichi Mizuguchi played for the independent Nagasaki Saints from 2008 to 2010, and he went to the Kagawa Olive Guyners from 2011 to 2012. He was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the first round of the development phase in the 2012 NPB draft, and he spent his first three seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues. Mizuguchi went 3-for-6 in 2016, and he played 56 games (51 PA) with a .280/.294/.340 batting line in 2017. However, he only got 19 more at-bats for the big club, and he announced his retirement in 2020.
Overall, Mizuguchi hit .240/.260/.280 with 18 hits in 5 seasons in NPB.
