Biographical Information

Daichi Hoshino was drafted by the Softbank Hawks in the 4th round of the 2010 NPB draft, and he underwent Tommy John surgery and missed his first two seasons. He had a 5.79 ERA in 7 games in 2013, and he also pitched 16 games with a 2.82 ERA for the Gigantes de Carolina in winter ball. However, he only got 4 more appearances for the big club before he announced his retirement in 2017. His brother Yudai Hoshino also played in NPB.
