Biographical Information[edit]
Chikara Hashimoto signed with the Mainichi Orions in 1953, and he went 1-for-13 in his first season. He was 15-for-49 in 1954, but he only played 2 games in 1955. Hashimoto then hit .223/.295/.312 in 1956, and he was named one of the starting outfielders of the Orions in 1957. He recorded a .235/.316/.370 batting line with 5 homers, but he slumped to.159/.233/.220 in 1958 and he announced his retirement. Hashimoto later became an actor.
Overall, Hashimoto hit .224/.298/.335 with 121 hits and 12 homers in 6 seasons in NPB.
