Biographical Information

Chiharu Tanaka has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Tanaka was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the 3rd round of the 2022 NPB draft, the scout was Ryota Wakiya. He was 2-3 with a 5.51 ERA in 30 relief outings in 2023, and he only pitched 4 innings for the top team in 2024 due to right elbow injury. He suffered an elbow injury, and he stayed in the minors in 2025; Tanaka had a 1.51 ERA in 36 games there.
