Charles Dougherty
Charles William Dougherty
- Bats Unknown, Throws Unknown
Biographical Information[edit]
Charles Dougherty played 23 games for Altoona Mountain City in 1884. He also played for Altoona's minor league team.
He was often confused with a Charlie Dougherty who also played in the minors in the 1880s] and who hailed from Wisconsin. That player's birth and death dates were attached to him by mistake, but the minor leaguer was active in Milwaukee while the major leaguer was playing in Altoona. All that is known about him is that he was a semi-pro player from Philadelphia, PA.
