Chalmette is located in south-eastern Louisiana, near the Lac Borgne inlet of the Gulf of Mexico, 10 miles south of Metairie, LA and 10 miles east of New Orleans, LA. Tommy Manzella was born here. Chalmette High School and Nunez Community College are here.
