Central States Intercollegiate Conference

From BR Bullpen

The Central States Intercollegiate Conference was an NAIA conference in the states of Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri that existed from 1976-1977 to 1988-1989 school years. The lineup consisted of a consistent eight schools, 7 of which are currently (2024) in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.

The NAIA determined postseason berths by district record, so conference schools focused on in-state competition rather than playing a conference schedule. The CSIC did hold a three team conference tournament with one school representing each state the conference operated in. Emporia State competed in the NAIA College World Series in 1978, 1984, 1986, and 1987. Missouri Southern competed in the NAIA CWS in 1978, 1986, and 1987.
