Biographical Information[edit]
Cecil Rhodes was a minor league infielder who played from 1938 through 1942.[1] He managed the Greenwood Crackers, Spartanburg Spartans and Charleston Rebels from 1939 through 1942 and led Charleston to the 1942 South Atlantic League pennant.[2][3] After retiring he ran a lumber business in South Carolina [4] Known as "Dusty" Rhodes, he was the head baseball coach at The Citadel in 1947.[5][6]
