Biographical Information

Carlos Cortez has been on the Salvadoran national team.

He was with El Salvador for the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games Central American Qualifier, going 0 for 2 and handling 2 putouts and an assist at second base. He remained with them for the 2025 Central American Games. He was 1 for 9 with a walk, run and a RBI in the 2025 Bolivarian Games, handling 13 chances error-free between 2B and 3B. His hit came off Denilson Santoyo of Silver Medal winner Peru.
