Brooklyn, IL

Brooklyn is located in western Illinois, on the Mississippi River across from St. Louis, MO and north of East St. Louis, IL, where it was founded by freed and escaped slaves; it is also known as Lovejoy. Bert Griffith was born here and Prince Joe Henry was born and died here.
