Biographical Information[edit]

Brian Cakebread has been a player, coach and scout.

Cakebread was on the Australian national team in the 1982 Amateur World Series. [1] When the Australian Baseball League formed in 1989-1990, the 41-year-old was easily the league's oldest regular; the only older player to appear was a GM who got one pinch-hit at-bat. He showed he could still make good contact, hitting .312/.329/.325 for the Adelaide Giants. [2]

He later coached for Adelaide. [3] He scouted for the Los Angeles Dodgers, signing Adrian Burnside and Luke Prokopec. [4]
