Bostjan Jan was the starting third baseman for the Slovenian national team in their European Championship debut, going 0 for 3 against Italy's Dante Carbini. He finished the event 1-for-17 with two walks and a run, fielding .944; only Evgeny Puchkov had a better fielding percentage at the hot corner in the 1995 Euros.
