Biographical Information[edit]
Bethany Casson started playing baseball in college after her boyfriend (active in British baseball since he was a kid) got her into the game. [1] Three years later, while working as a paramedic, she made the British women's national team for the 2025 European Women's Championship. She got into one game, replacing Oona Ylinen in left against Czechia. She was plunked by Kateřina Maříková, stole second and came around to score. That was her lone plate appearance. Britain won their first European Women's Championship (the British men had never won a European Championship to that point) to earn a spot in the 2026-2027 Women's Baseball World Cup. [2]
