Biographical Information[edit]

Baptiste Polidor played in the French Division I and for the French national team.

He was on the France Équipe Fédérale in the 2001 French Division Elite (then France's top league, later renamed Division I); he was 1-2 with a 9.33 ERA and went 0-for-14. The teenager was 4-for-30 with 4 walks in 2003, split between the France Équipe Fédérale and the Rouen Huskies; he would never pitch more than a game again after his rookie campaign. He still made France's team for the 2003 Baseball World Cup. Backing up Christophe Goniot in CF and Gaspard Fessy in LF, he was 1-for-3. His hit came off Team USA's Jake Whitney.

Polidor hit .241/.371/.291 for the Huskies in 2004 then batted .297/.397/.406 in 2005, scoring 30 runs in 30 games for the league champs. His 10 steals tied for second on the team, behind Luc Piquet. He did not play in France's top league from 2006-2017. In 2018, the 33-year-old resurfaced after his 12-year absence, producing at a .271/.363/.302 clip for the La Rochelle Boucaniers. The next year, his last in France's top loop, he batted .212/.278/.260.
