Biographical Information[edit]

Atsushi Taki was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 4th round of the 1986 NPB draft, and he was 8-7 with a 3.67 ERA for the Fresno Suns in 1988. He teamed with Robert Rowen and Steve Bowden on a 16-inning no-hitter, the longest in the minors since Al Jarlett had done so in 1939. However, he only pitched 4 games for the big club, and he announced his retirement in 1995. He later coached the Women's baseball team of the Kobe Koryo Gakuen High School.
