Biographical Information

Anselmo Joya has been on the Salvadoran national team.

He was 3-for-10 with a double as a college freshman then hit .294/.438/.510 as a sophomore. Playing for El Salvador in the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, he was 0 for 6 with 4 walks and a run and had 10 putouts in right field. He tied for 7th in the Games in walks. He produced at a .415/.506/.654 clip as a junior with 40 runs in 41 games, going 15-for-17 in steals and leading the Skyline Conference with six triples.

After hitting .403/.482/.546 as a senior, he made All-Conference. He was back with El Salvador for the 2025 Central American Games.
