Biographical Information[edit]

Angélica Ledezma debuted for the Venezuelan women's national team in the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup. She allowed the first five baserunners to reach in her start against Taiwan but two were out on the bases and then she struck out Pei-Chen Huang to escape the inning without a run allowed. She went 4 1/3 IP and allowed 6 hits, 3 walks and no runs that day while fanning two; she got the win over Ching Huang, saved by Frandelis García. It was Venezuela's lone win in the final round. In her other outing, she allowed five baserunners and two runs in an inning versus Mexico. For the final round, she tied Maricela Aguillera and Raine Padgham for 4th in hits allowed (9) and tied for 4th in walks issues (5, even with Alli Schroder, Flor Valerio and García). [1]
