Amitys of New York

The Amitys of New York competed in the National Association of Base Ball Players as early as 1858 according to Marshall D. Wright's book The National Association of Base Ball Players (1857-1870). There is not much known about this team, with their only other mention in the book being that they were around again in 1869 after not being listed under any other years in it. Research by Bruce Allardice shows that the Amitys were in fact still around and playing in 1867 and 1868 as well.
