Biographical Information

Akiyoshi Toyoshima was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 6th round of the 2007 NPB draft, and he debuted against the Seibu Lions on March 26, 2008. He was the first NPB player who was born in the Heisei era. He pitched 2 shutout innings for the top team that season, but he failed to return to the big club before he announced his retirement in 2010.
