Biographical Information

Akira Tanaka signed with the Hankyu Braves in 1973, and he played 26 games as a pinch-runner in 1977 (he had 3 runs and one steal in two tries, going 0 for 1 at the plate). He only played one more game for the big club (going 1 for 4), and he announced his retirement in 1980.
