Biographical Information

Akira Furukawa signed with the Lotte Orions in 1970, and he only got 2 at-bats before he announced his retirement in 1971. Furukawa was mainly used as a pinch-runner, and he scored six in 18 games, going 10-for-10 in steal attempts.
