Biographical Information[edit]
Adolfo Talamantes played for the Mexican national team in the 1959 Central American and Caribbean Games, hitting .200 and fielding .952 at C and 1.000 at 1B. [1] He was also with them for the 1959 Pan American Games; the Chicago Tribune carried box scores for four of their five games. He was 7-for-13 in those games with a double, two triples, a steal, three runs and a RBI. [2] His performance due the interest of scouts from teams like the New York Yankees. [3] He never turned pro and later worked as an announcer. [4]
