Biographical Information[edit]

Mike Federico has been a college coach.

As a catcher, he played in two NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series with Hinds Community College. He was a graduate assistant at Southern Miss (1997-1999), assistant coach of Meridian Community College (2000-2001) then head coach there from 2002-2004, winning 46 games one year. He was assistant at the University of Memphis (2005-2009) and then again at Southern Miss (2010-2017). From 2017-2025, he was 172-227-1 as head coach of the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He became Director of Player Development at Louisiana Tech University in 2026.

Federico's son, Hayden Federico, is a freshman outfielder for University of Mississippi in the 2026 College World Series.
