Biographical Information[edit]
Léonie Pauthe has been on the French women's national team.
She played for France in the 2017 U12 Baseball World Cup, competing against boys. [1] She played for a men's team in the French minor leagues briefly in 2022. [2] During the 2022 European Women's Championship, she flew out against the Netherlands' Merle Langevoord her first time up. Her first hit was a double off Czecia's Tereza Šustrová. She hit .333/.467/.583 with 4 runs and 4 RBI in 4 games for the champs, going 2-for-2 in steals. She did not fare as well on the mound, giving up 8 runs (all earned) in 2 innings, walking six in a semifinal game against Britain but Camille Foucher relived and they rallied to win. She handled 12 chances error-free in the event. She tied for 6th in the tourney in RBI, tied for second in triples (1), was one earned run behind leader Denisa Józsová and tied for 4th in walks issued. [3]
France advanced to the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup, their Women's Baseball World Cup debut. She was 0-for-8 and yielded 10 hits and 11 runs (7 earned) in 2 1/3 IP, while fielding .938. She was 9th in pool B in hits allowed, tied Yoannet Dominguez for 3rd in runs allowed and tied Isabel Gonzalez for 8th in earned runs surrendered. [4]
