Biographical Information[edit]
Jason Munguía debuted for the Salvadoran national team in the 2025 Bolivarian Games, splitting time at catcher with Joseph Briceño. He grounded out against Curaçao's Temesh Lourens his first time up. He finished 1-for-7 with two HBP and two runs, fielding .909 and allowing 8 steals in 9 tries. His hit came off Denilson Santoyo of Silver Medalist Peru. Only Susumu Yoza allowed more steals in the Games and he tied Melvin Deras for 5th in errors (2). He tied for 3rd in times plunked. [1]
