Jakarta

From BR Bullpen

(Redirected from Jakarta, Indonesia)

Jakarta, formerly called Batavia, was the capital of Indonesia until 2022, when a new capital was designated due to the overcrowding of Jakarta causing its sinkage. In 2025, the United Nations declared that it had overtaken Tokyo as the world's largest metropolitan area, with a population of 41.9 million.

Jakarta hosted the 2018 Asian Games.
