Biographical Information[edit]
Jaka Šerbec played for the Slovenian national team in three decades.
In the 1999 European Championship, the teenager backed up Luka Kreitmayer at first base, going 0-for-5 and handling 9 chances error-free. [1] He hit .231/.286/.538 with four runs in four games in the 2008 European Championship Qualifiers, homering off Andrei Paplauski. He was 9th in the Prague qualifier in slugging (between Jan Drábek and Uros Rudolf), tied for 4th in runs, tied Ales Mravlje and Tomáš Polanský for the homer lead and tied Mravlje and Rudolf for 8th in total bases. [2] In the 2011 European Championship Qualifiers, he was 3 for 12 with a walk, steal, two runs and four RBI in three games. He tied Andrei Apostoaei for 6th in RBI. [3]
Šerbec went 3 for 13 with two walks, a run and two RBI in the 2014 C-Level European Championship. [4] During the 2016 C-Level European Championship, he hit .353/.353/.412 with five runs and five RBI in four games. The veteran tied Nat Anglin and Martin Godnič for 8th in runs, tied for 4th in hits and tied Vladimir Saravolac for 4th in RBI. [5]
