Biographical information[edit]
Catcher Freddy Fermin made his major league debut with the Kansas City Royals during the 2022 season. On May 11, 2023, he drove in the winning run in a 4-3 win over the Chicago White Sox with a 9th-inning bunt that drove in Nick Pratto from third base to end the game. This was actually a very rare play, as there had only been three game-ending bunts in the previous five years.
