Biographical Information[edit]

Félix Stevens has played in the minors and has been on the Spanish national team.

He was signed by Chicago Cubs scout Hansel Izquierdo in March 2019. [1] He hit .280/.386/.491 for the 2019 DSL Cubs 1 then the 2020 minor league season was cancelled due to COVID-19. In 2021, he was with the AZL Cubs (.298/.365/.606 in 30 G) and Myrtle Beach Pelicans (2 for 15, 2B). He tied for 6th in the Arizona Complex League with seven homers.

With Myrtle Beach for all of 2022, he slipped to .222/.310/.413 with 96 K in 252 AB. He split 2023 between the Pelicans (.289/.380/.562 in 55 G) and the South Bend Cubs (.242/.316/.502 in 64 G). The first baseman led Cubs farmhands with 27 homers, four ahead of Yonathan Perlaza; he also tied Jared Young for 9th in RBI. In the winter, he hit .235/.307/.368 for the Gigantes de Carolina.

Stevens slipped a bit in 2024, which he spent with South Bend (.249/.365/.503 in 50 G) and the Tennessee Smokies (.226/.344/.394 in 65 G), now playing more outfield than first. Among Cubs minor leaguers, he was third in homers (20), one behind Matt Shaw and Andy Garriola. He tied Alfonsin Rosario for 4th in RBI (73), tied Shaw for 6th in walks (62) and led in strikeouts (164, 8 ahead of Owen Caissie). He batted .194/.342/.371 for the Cañeros de Los Mochis that winter.

Representing Spain in the 2026 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, he did not get into a game. [2]
