Fabricio Muñoz was on the Ecuadorian national team in the 2001 Bolivarian Games. In the 2006 Americas Olympic Qualifier, he was 1 for 11 with 5 walks and 3 runs, fielding .939 at first. He tied Jorge Araiza for the best OBP among Ecuador's regulars. It is certainly possible he is the same person as Byron Muñoz‎.
