Biographical Information[edit]

Carlos Berrios was a backup outfielder for the Nicaraguan national team in the mid-1990s. In the 1994 Baseball World Cup, he went 1 for 4 with a HBP and 3 runs as the backup to Sandy Moreno in LF. In the 1995 Intercontinental Cup, he was 1 for 11 with a triple and a run, backing up Jorge Avellan at SS, Freddy Zamora in LF and Danilo Sotelo in CF. He was with Nicaragua in the 1995 Pan American Games; they won the Silver Medal. He was 1 for 10 with a homer and 3 RBI in the 1996 Olympics, backing up Anibal Vega in LF and Jose Padilla in RF. His hit was a homer off Dong-hwan Moon.
