Baja California Sur

The state of Baja California Sur (South Lower California in English) forms the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula in western Mexico, between the Gulf of California and the Pacific Ocean. It is surrounded by water on three sides, and has only a short land border with the state of Baja California to the north. The state capital is La Paz. Other cities include Cabo San Lucas, at the southern tip of the peninsula and Santa Rosalia, on the Gulf of California.
