Los Angeles, or L.A. is the second largest city in the United States, lying at a center of a huge metropolitan area on the Pacific Ocean coast of southern California. The city itself is spread out geographically and a number of its neighborhoods, including Hollywood, Venice and Vernon have hosted their own baseball teams, and in many cases, persons who were born or died there are listed under those names.
