Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher T.J. Beam attended the University of Mississippi and went 14-2 as a senior. He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the tenth round of the 2003 amateur draft. He was signed by scout D.J. Svihlik and made his pro debut that summer. In five years in the Yankee organization, he was 22-18 with a 2.71 ERA in 154 minor league appearances. He also spent part of the 2006 in the majors with the team, going 2-0 with an 8.50 ERA in 20 outings.

Following the 2007 campaign, Beam became a free agent and signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.
