Biographical Information[edit]

Rudson Roberto pitched for the Netherlands Antilles national team.

He was with the Antilles for the 1982 Central American and Caribbean Games when they tied for the Bronze. [1] In the 1984 Amateur World Series, he had no decisions, but led the team in games pitched (4, tied with Angelo Clemencia), innings (20, 2 2/3 ahead of Milton Croes) and strikeouts (11, one ahead of Croes) while his 2.70 ERA was second to Clemencia's 2.00 and well ahead of the staff mark of 5.73. [2] He won a Silver Medal in the 1986 Central American and Caribbean Games [3] and was with them for the 1986 Amateur World Series [4] and 1987 Pan American Games. [5] During the 1988 Baseball World Cup, he struggled at 0-2, 22.50; only Wendell Elizabeth had a higher ERA for the Antilles. He lost to Japan's Tetsu Suzuki and Puerto Rico's Hector Gutierrez. [6]
