The Veracruz Red Eagles (formerly the Veracruz Eagles) are named after the eagle that appears on the Mexican flag. At present, they have been members of the Mexican League since 1999 but have had repeated incarnations throughout the league's history and have been members of the Liga more often than not. They won Mexican League pennants in 1952, 1961, 1970 and 2012.
