Biographical Information[edit]
Robbie Cobb was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 23rd round of the 1979 Amateur Draft out of high school, but he didn't sign and went to college. He represented the USA in the 1984 Amateur World Series. The Indians picked him in the 27th round of the 1982 Amateur Draft, but he refused to sign again. Cobb was selected by the Montreal Expos in the 10th round of the 1983 Amateur Draft, and he hit .285/.368/.447 in 68 games for the Jamestown Expos in 1983. He then recorded a .274/.349/.331 batting line for the Gastonia Expos in 1984, and he played 59 games with a .233/.329/.254 batting line with the West Palm Beach Expos. Cobb had a .231/.324/.269 batting line in 67 games in West Palm Beach in 1985, and his professional career ended.
