Biographical Information[edit]
Ralph "Red" Kreitz played for the Chicago White Sox in 1911. The regular White Sox catcher that year was long-time White Sox Billy Sullivan who was 36 and nearing the end of his career.
Kreitz also played in the minors, mostly in the Northwest and in the Pacific Coast League. Before coming to the majors in 1911 he had played in 1910 at Winnipeg.
He was born in Plum Creek, NE, which is in northeastern Nebraska.
