Biographical Information[edit]

The shortest player in NBA history, Muggsy Bogues was a long-time point guard. On June 21, 1991, Bogues played one game for the Gastonia Rangers (owned by George Shinn, who owned the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA) along with basketball teammate Dell Curry. Bogues played second base and struck out in both of his at-bats.

In 1996, he appeared in the movie Space Jam. The band Pearl Jam was originally named Muggsy Bogues in his honor, but had to change its name.
