Biographical Information[edit]
Morio Okada signed with the Mainichi Orions in 1955, and he hit .177/.197/.236 in 88 games in his first season. He recorded a .268/.318/.305 batting line in 1956, and he went 6-for-32 in 1957. Okada then jumped to the Taiyo Whales, and he played 80 games with a .227/.252/.350 batting line in 1958. He slumped to .135/.158/.135 in 1959 and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Okada hit .206/.235/.284 with 115 hits and a homer in 5 seasons in NPB.
