Masayoshi Tokuda pitched in the minor leagues.
Tokuda signed with the Atlanta Braves in 2005; the scout was Hiroyuki Oya. He went 4-2 with a 0.94 ERA for the Danville Braves in his first season as a pro. In 28 2/3 innings, he allowed only 22 hits and six walks, while striking out 35 batters. He missed all of 2006 due to injury. In 2007, he pitched for the GCL Braves (two games, 0.00 ERA), Danville (one game, 45.00 ERA), Rome Braves (three games, 15.00 ERA) and Myrtle Beach Pelicans (12 games, 7.32 ERA), going a combined 1-1 with an 8.78 ERA in 18 relief appearances. Overall, Tokuda went 5-3 with a 4.72 ERA in 25 games (three starts) in the US.
The Braves then released him, and he pitched for the independent Oisix Niigata Albirex Baseball Club in 2008, Kishu Rangers in 2009 and Ehime Mandarin Pirates in 2010.
