General Manager[edit]
Until 1935, the Braves General Manager was the also the team's manager. As with many of the teams prior to the introduction of the General Manager, it was the manager's duty to serve as General Manager, Business Manager, Travel Secretary and at times even Scout. The Braves' first "true" General Manager, was team owner and president Bob Quinn, who held the position until poor health forced him to hand the position over to his son John.
