Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Ken Salmon was All-Conference at Rollins College and then signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He posted a 8-2, 2.43 line and hit .242/.342/.364 for the Gastonia Pirates in 1963, then the Los Angeles Dodgers took him in the AAA portion of the 1963 Rule V Draft. He had a 10-7, 3.47 record for the 1964 Grand Forks Chiefs. He tied John Hiller and Carmelo Aquino for 10th in the Northern League in victories and tied Jim Palmer for second with four shutouts.

After leaving baseball, he earned his law degree from Duquesne University in 1967 and joined the FBI, before joining a Pittsburgh-based law firm and serving as legal counsel for the Pirates' ownership.
