Harry Smith pitched well in his one game in the majors, going 5 innings and getting the win. He gave up only one run.
Smith is one of four players with the name "Harry Smith" who have played in the majors.
He was the same age as Jack Fournier, who also appeared on the 1912 White Sox.
Smith, from Nebraska, pitched much in Nebraska. He started in 1910 and was a star from 1910-13, notching several no-hitters. In 1915 he again pitched, before the Nebraska State League ceased to exist. In 1922 he came back again when the league had been revived. Source: Harry Smith.
