Biographical Information[edit]

Frank Sanchez worked at William S. Hart High School from 1975-1986, teaching special education and coaching the baseball team from 1982-1986. He was assistant coach at University of Southern California from 1987-1996. He was head coach at Pepperdine University from 1997 to 2003, replacing Pat Harrison and being replaced by Steve Rodriguez. Sanchez took a permanent medical leave of absence from Pepperdine in 2003.

Sanchez played for coach Mike Gillespie at College of the Canyons, then coached under Gillespie at USC and for the North Pole Nicks of the Alaska Baseball League from 1983-1985, before assuming head coach of the Nicks in 1986.
