Biographical Information[edit]
Emily Baxter has been on the Canadian women's national team.
She debuted in the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup. Starting in right and hitting 6th against Mexico, she flew out against Rosa del Castillo her first time up. Later that day, she doubled off Selene Huerta. In Pool A, she was 1-for-7 with 4 walks, a steal, four runs and a RBI, with 3 putouts, one assist and one error. She also pitched one game, versus Team USA. Relieving Amy Johnson, she closed out a 23-0 loss, turning in the lone scoreless work by a Canadian hurler that game. She retired London Studer, walked Kylee Lahners and then got A'lana Martinez to end it. She tied for 8th in the pool in walks. [1] Canada moved on to the 2024 portion, in which she hit .154/.214/.154 with a steal, two runs and a RBI in five games as Canada got the Bronze. She fielded .875. [2]
A college hockey player, she set her school record for points (24 in 26 games) in the 2024-2025 season. [3]
